ABSTRACT
Education in Life Sciences has a great responsibility in helping students to develop awareness of the complexity and limits of natural services, and make people conscious of the complete dependence of humanity on Earth’s natural systems. This approach to biology education stems from a revision of scientific epistemology and of the relationships between Science and Society, and requires a profound transformation of the educational context and of the relationships between teachers and students.
